Evri Driver Sacked After 5 Homes Doorbell Footage Exposes Parcel Tampering & “Ghost Deliveries” Residents’ Evidence Forces Action

The situation intensified when frustrated locals began investigating for themselves, uncovering CCTV footage that appeared to show the courier staging deliveries before walking away with the parcels.

Residents uncover pattern of misconduct

Community members said they first noticed parcels were not arriving even though Evri marked them as delivered. Several residents reported that the courier did not knock, ring doorbells or make any genuine attempt to deliver items.

CCTV footage later revealed the courier placing parcels on doorsteps, photographing them as proof of delivery, and then picking them back up and leaving with them.

The discovery sparked anger across the neighbourhood, especially as families prepare for the costly Christmas period.

Families left out of pocket

Sharon said she fears many families relying on Christmas deliveries will face similar setbacks.
“It is hard enough for people right now. Some cannot afford to replace gifts if they go missing,” she said.

Another resident, Chloe Harrison King, said she stopped trusting the service after clothes she had ordered vanished despite delivery confirmation.

Former soldier Derek Wood described the issue as widespread in the area. He said one of his packages arrived ripped open with the contents missing, adding that the timing could not be worse as families face financial pressure during the festive season.

Evri responds and confirms dismissal

Evri has acknowledged the complaints and confirmed that the courier involved has been removed from duty.
