Why the transport secretary is appearing
Heidi Alexander joins the programme days after the government confirmed that rail fares in England will be frozen next year for the first time in thirty years.
Ministers say the policy will save millions of rail passengers hundreds of pounds on season tickets as well as peak and off peak returns between major cities.

The government said the freeze is part of its wider plan to rebuild a publicly owned Great British Railways. The reforms aim to modernise rail travel by expanding tap in tap out payment systems, improving digital ticketing and investing in superfast wifi.
