Rumours swirl as reports claim King Charles may Seeks Return 3 year’s After Queen Elizabeth’s corgis from Andrew and Sarah Ferguson
Fresh speculation has emerged around the future of Queen Elizabeth II’s beloved corgis, with a new report alleging that King Charles is considering taking the dogs away from Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.
Andrew, who has already given up his royal titles and agreed to vacate Royal Lodge in 2025, is reportedly facing another upheaval. According to British journalist Rob Shuter, writing on his blog and reported by Us Weekly, the King “is preparing to seize Queen Elizabeth’s beloved corgis from the former Prince Andrew because he no longer believes his disgraced younger brother is capable of caring for them.”
Shuter said “shaken palace insiders” have suggested the King is “deeply unsettled” by what they describe as deteriorating conditions at Royal Lodge, where Muick and Sandy have been living since the death of Queen Elizabeth.
According to the report, King Charles allegedly wants to ensure the dogs are placed in “a more stable home and better judgment around them.”
Living arrangements at Royal Lodge a key factor
The prospect that Andrew and Sarah Ferguson will no longer be living together once they leave Royal Lodge has reportedly influenced the King’s concerns.
“Her Majesty liked Fergie, but she was ferociously protective of those dogs,” one royal insider told the outlet. “She would never have wanted them left solely with Sarah, and Charles knows that better than anyone.”
Shuter also claims that King Charles has already begun looking into “formal channels” to reclaim the corgis as “part of the Crown’s living legacy”.

The palace has not commented on the claims, and none of the reports have been independently verified.

Potential standoff as Andrew resists handing over the corgis
Shuter alleges that Andrew is strongly resisting any effort to remove the dogs from his care. “Andrew, however, is flat out refusing,” he wrote, warning that insiders fear the situation could escalate into a “full scale royal showdown with two corgis at the centre”.
For now, the future home of Muick and Sandy remains uncertain as Andrew prepares to leave Royal Lodge and as rumours continue to circulate around the King’s intentions.
