Donald Trump Jr.’s 3rd Engagement: Bettina Anderson at White House Event
Donald Trump Jr. has announced his engagement to model and socialite Bettina Anderson, using his father’s White House Christmas reception to share the news in front of family, guests, and cameras.

The announcement was made on Monday evening, 15 December, during the festive event hosted by US President Donald Trump. Video footage shared on social media shows the president standing alongside his eldest son and future daughter in law as the couple confirmed their engagement.
“I’m not usually at a loss for words, because I’m usually doing the ranting and raving really well,” Donald Trump Jr., 47, told the audience. “I want to thank Bettina for that one word, ‘yes.’”
Ms Anderson, 38, followed with her own remarks, describing the moment as deeply personal. “This has been the most unforgettable weekend,” she said. “I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Thank you.”
A new chapter after a high profile split
Mr Trump Jr. was previously married to Vanessa Trump. The couple were together for 12 years before she filed for divorce in 2018. They share five children, Kai, 18, Donald III, 16, Tristan, 14, Spencer, 13, and Chloe, 11.
Later in 2018, he began dating former Fox News presenter Kimberly Guilfoyle. The pair became engaged in 2020, although they never publicly announced their separation. People reported in December 2024 that the relationship had been over and that Mr Trump Jr. had been dating Ms Anderson for around six months.
The couple were first photographed together during a brunch outing in August 2024, according to images published by the Daily Mail. At the time, Mr Trump Jr. was still publicly engaged to Ms Guilfoyle. By September 2024, sources said the former couple were spending time apart, with their split reportedly finalised in December.
Shortly after the breakup, President Trump nominated Ms Guilfoyle to serve as US ambassador to Greece, a role that was confirmed by the Senate in September.

A growing public presence together
Since going public, Mr Trump Jr. and Ms Anderson have made a number of high profile appearances together. He joined her for her birthday dinner in Palm Beach in December 2024 and brought her as his guest to the Trump family’s New Year’s Eve celebration at Mar a Lago.
Ms Anderson also accompanied him to President Trump’s inauguration in January 2025. The following month, a source told PEOPLE magazine that “Bettina seems great for him.”

Ms Anderson is the daughter of philanthropists Harry Loy Anderson Jr. and Inger Anderson. Alongside her social profile, she is active in a number of charitable causes. She supports the Hope for Depression Research Foundation, founded by Audrey Gruss, and plays a leading role in Project Paradise, a conservation initiative based in Florida.
She is also involved with the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County, where she volunteers weekly, according to sources familiar with her work.
The White House announcement marked a highly public start to the couple’s next chapter, blending personal news with political pageantry in a setting few engagements can rival.
