Trump Loyalist Laura Loomer Issues Stark Warning of GOP Losses in 2026 and 2028

Trump Loyalist and far right activist Laura Loomer have predicted a devastating future for the Republican Party, warning that the GOP could face a landslide defeat in the midterms and lose the 2028 presidential election if it fails to address what she describes as a growing extremism problem within its ranks.

In a series of posts on X, the 32 year old activist claimed the party is ignoring rising antisemitic rhetoric among some conservative voices and younger social media users. Loomer pointed to videos circulating on TikTok that show members of Gen Z glorifying Hitler, as well as remarks from former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who recently suggested that the same people who were responsible for killing Jesus were responsible for the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Loomer cited this as evidence of what she called the GOP’s worsening credibility crisis.

Loomer added that Republicans lack what she called moral clarity. “That is a Nazi problem. If the GOP does not address this, then they deserve to lose the midterms. Good luck losing in 2026 and 2028,” she wrote.

Carlson, Owens and Fuentes at Center of Controversy

Carlson sparked national backlash in September when he used his speech at Charlie Kirk’s memorial to compare the conservative youth leader to Jesus, alleging that shadowy groups were plotting to silence him. Conservative commentator Candace Owens also stoked controversy by spreading unfounded conspiracy theories that Kirk had been pressured by Jewish donors prior to his death.

Last month, Carlson invited Holocaust denying far right figure Nick Fuentes onto his podcast, prompting condemnation across the political spectrum. Senator Ted Cruz sharply criticized Carlson, saying that anyone who remains silent while a guest praises Hitler or calls for defeating what they describe as “global Jewry” is “complicit in that evil.”

President Donald Trump, however, offered little criticism when asked about Carlson’s decision to host Fuentes. “You cannot tell him who to interview,” Trump said. “If he wants to interview Nick Fuentes, I do not know much about him, but if he wants to do it, let him. People have to decide.”

Trump Faces Accusations of His Own Antisemitic Remarks

The president has also faced backlash for his own comments. In July, Trump defended himself after using the term “Shylock” in a speech, claiming he did not understand its antisemitic connotations. The term originates from Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice and has long been considered an offensive stereotype.

On the campaign trail last year, Trump repeatedly said that Jewish Democrats “hate Israel” and “hate their religion,” remarks that drew widespread criticism from civil rights groups and Jewish leaders.

Loomer Predicts a Political Collapse

Loomer argued that controversies surrounding antisemitic rhetoric will drive voters away from the GOP. “Hitler Larping and obsessively talking about Israel does not appeal to everyday Americans,” she said on X. “We are likely going to lose the midterms over this nihilistic Nazi love fest. I will be here to say I told you so.”

Loomer also claimed, without evidence, that “Muslims on the Left” are supposedly “loving” what she described as the GOP’s internal chaos.

Her warning arrives as the Republican Party grapples with internal divisions, high profile controversies and increasing scrutiny over extremist rhetoric circulating online.
